Request for Information - RFI History

Phase I - Issue RFI

On May 22, 2006, the City of Seattle issued a Request for Interest (RFI) seeking private partners to develop a state of the art fiber to the premises (FTTP) broadband network.

Phase II - Interview Potential Participants

The following firms were selected to meet with the City. The City met with these firms during September and October 2006 to discuss their responses to the Broadband Request for Interest (RFI):

Phase III - Determine Next Steps

The City is now evaluating its options and may choose to pursue one of the following options: proceed to a Request for Proposals; proceed to more in depth discussions with RFI respondents; no further action.
