Seattle offers an extraordinary array of arts and cultural events throughout its diverse neighborhoods. The Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs supports creativity at a grassroots level, making investments in dozens of festivals and community cultural projects.
The Neighborhood & Community Arts (NCA) program supports Seattle's neighborhood arts councils and community groups that produce events to promote arts and cultural participation and build community. In 2009, the program provided $1,200 each to 37 organizations to support annual public festivals and events.
NCA supports neighborhood groups that produce recurring festivals or events that promote arts and cultural participation, build community and enhance the visibility of neighborhoods through arts and culture.
