Environmental Stewardship Team

At Seattle Parks, our Environmental Stewardship efforts are managed through our Environmental Management System (EMS), a working document that establishes a framework for reducing our environmental impacts and identifying opportunities for environmental improvement.

A Seattle Parks EMS Team us coordinating the development and implementation of our EMS, and plans actions and reporting activities accordingly.

Here are the members of our Parks EMS Team:

  • Duane Penttila - Horticulture Manager (co-chair)
  • Leila Wilke - Environmental Stewardship Manager (co-chair)
  • Woody Wilkinson - Maintenance Services Director (Decision Maker)
  • Richard Gelb - Sustainable Building & Design Coordinator
  • Jodi Sinclair - Environmental Analyst
  • Barb Decaro - Conservation Coordinator
  • Lori Chisholm - Senior Coordinator
  • Donald Allen - SW Operations Crew Chief
  • Paul Wilkinson - Carpentry Shop Crew Chief
  • Susan Golub - Strategic Advisor, Superintendent's Office

Everyone has an important role to play in caring for our environment and it's very rewarding to see people give it their best everyday. At Seattle Parks we have opportunities for everyone to express their definition of environmental stewardship and learn how to improve their world…
