City Light Outage Cuts Power to 3,800 Customers in Queen Anne
SEATTLE — An outage affecting approximately 3,800 customers in the Queen Anne neighborhood was reported about 7 p.m. The possible cause may be trees in the wires. City Light crews are dispatched to locate the problem and clear the trees.
The general boundaries of the outage are: W. Ewing St. on the north, Mercer St. on the south, 6th Ave. N. on the east and 14th Ave. W. on the west. Not all homes and businesses within these general boundaries were affected.
The estimated restoration time for this outage is 11:59 p.m. on November 5.
Seattle City Light is the ninth largest public electric utility in the United States. It has the lowest cost customer rates of any urban utility, providing reliable, renewable and environmentally responsible power to nearly 1 million Seattle area residents. City Light has been greenhouse gas neutral since 2005, the first electric utility in the nation to achieve that distinction.
