Neighborhood Business District Strategy planning efforts are focused on providing an opportunity for citizens to generate ideas and input about shaping their urban villages and to generate continued public comment as DPD planners finalize the Neighborhood Business District Strategy.
DPD planners presented a draft proposal at two public forums in September 2004 and met with six neighborhoods in October 2004 to discuss mapping a pedestrian designation. The Mayor forwarded his recommendations to City Council in mid-2005. The City Council will hold a public hearing before making any changes to the commercial sections of the Land Use Code.
